Paper jam
You have fed in too much paper.
• Set the slider switch to "REV".
Pa per is pus hed out.
• Se pa ra te pa per stack
• Set the slider switch to "ON" again.
• Feed in pa per successively.
Shredded material container full
NOTICE! Check the level in the shredded material con-
tainer and empty it in good time, as otherwise
the function of the cutting device could be
impaired.
• Pull out the power plug
• Move cutting head away.
• Empty cut material container.
• Remove cutting head.
For all other malfunctions, check whether the cutting head was
correctly positioned on the shredded material container before
contacting our customer service. If the motor was overloaded,
let the shredder cool down for 30 minutes before using it again.

6 Troubleshooting
WARNING
Dangerous mains voltage!
Switch off the shredder and pull out the mains
plug.
When cleaning only use a soft cloth and a mild soap-water solu-
tion. However, no water must enter the equipment.

Warning!
Before switching the machine on, make sure that
you observe all safety instructions.
Switching the paper shredder on
• Set the sliding switch for automatic opera-
tion to "ON/AUTO".
Feed paper
•
Feed in the paper to be shredded, however,
never feed in more than 5 sheets at a time.
The cutting device starts automatically,
pulls in the paper and shreds it.
When the feed opening is clear of paper
again, the cutting device switches off.
• The cutting device runs constantly if you set
the sliding switch to "FWD".
