Variations on these flat fees include:
 For communities with populations between 10,000 and 30,000:
o Flat fee ($1,000) for “drive-through” conditional use permit;
o Actual cost of time and materials;
o $40 per parking space; public hearing fee of $480; and “unspecified” engineering review
and SWM review fees.
 For communities with populations between 50,001 and 70,000:
o Base fee of $310 plus additional (unspecified fees) that are based on use and variance
requested.
Added fees Associated with Information Requested by Reviewing Body: An overwhelming
majority of responding communities did not cite any additional fees; however, the exceptions to this are
summarized below.
 Under 10,000 populations: Actual cost of time and materials.
 10,000 – 30,000 population: Special use fee of $250; public hearing deposit of $600.
 30,001 – 50,000 population: $200 legal notice; $35 court reporter; and $100 sign fee.
Additional Fees Associated with Resubmission of a SDP: As before, most of the respondents do
not apply a fee for the resubmission of a site plan. For those communities that apply a fee, the
associated costs are summarized below.
 Under 10,000 populations: Actual cost of time and materials.
 10,000 – 30,000 population: Direct costs attributed to studies, legal, etc.; 0.5% of approved
engineer’s estimate for each review following 3 reviews.
 50,001 – 70,000 population: Fee range of $50 - $500.
