The Wind Window · Das Windfenster · Initiation au Vent · La Ventana del Viento 1 The Wind Window The kite flies within a so-called wind window which approximately forms a quarter sphere around the pilot, who stands at its centre. It is therefore easy to recognise that the kite flies on circular routes. The border zone of the wind window which lies precisely above the pilot is the zenith. Here, the kite can be flown especially calmly and without requiring a lot of pulling strength.

The top end should be between your index and middle fingers if you are not using a harness. Hold both handles in front of your body, approximately at chest height. The kite killers allow you to release the kite in emergency situations without losing it entirely. Try this out in moderate winds to become familiar with this function.

Pull on the lee handle so that the more distant wing tip sets itself against the wind and points upward. The chute is now easily controllable via the brake of the upward-pointing wing half, so that it can be brought safely along the edge of the wind window and into the zenith.
Landing · LANDEN · attérissage · aterrizaje Control · Steuern · controle · Dirigir Steering made simple 1. In strong winds, steer the kite towards the left or right edge of the wind window, in the direction of the ground. A helper should take the kite there. 2. The helper should secure the chute with sand on the tucked-in wing tip. 3. It is safest if the chute is stowed in the bag to secure it. 1. Bei starkem Wind steuern Sie den Drachen zum linken order rechten WIndfensterrand. in Richtung Boden.

Pulling on a brake line intensifies the steering movement. The lower handle end is tilted towards the pilot, pulling the brake line. 1. 2.
Pack Up · EINPACKEN · Pliage · Empaquetado The chute must be secured first for the following packing instructions. 1. Once the kite is on the lines, the lines can be simply wrapped around the handles. Put the handles together. The hand loops of the kite killers can be fastened on the bottom half of the handles. 2. Then wrap all four lines around the top half of the handles at the same time. 3.
Tuning Tips · Einstellungs-tipps 38 Conseils de réglage · Consejos de ajuste 1. If the flight lines are not of the same length, you can make a quick temporary correction with a knot in the leader lines of the handles. 2. After flying in strong winds, the main flight lines may be more stretched than the brake lines. Fasten the brake lines on a very sturdy hook (e.g. the trailer hitch on a car) and stretch them by pulling very hard. 3.
