Notes:
- MSA 2060 Storage Systems do not ship with SFPs.
- MSA SFPs are for use with MSA 2060 FC or iSCSI Storage Systems.
- MSA 2060 SAS Storage Systems do not require SFP modules.
- Minimum of one SFP 4 pack transceiver required for FC or iSCSI models
- Each MSA 2060 Storage Systems can be configured with four or eight SFPs.
- MSA 2060 10Gb iSCSI configurations can use DAC cables instead of SFPs.
- Controller host ports are recommended to be configured identically.
- Cannot mix FC transceivers with iSCSI transceivers in the same storage system.
Step 3: Select Your Drives
• MSA Gen 6 HDDs and SSDs are for use with MSA Gen 6 Storage Systems only.
• MSA Gen 6 HDDs and SSDs are not compatible with prior generation MSA Storage Systems
• Prior Generation of MSA HDDs and SSDs are not compatible with MSA Gen 6 Storage Systems.
• Customers can mix SSD, Enterprise SAS, and SAS Midline (MDL) drives in the same array enclosure or drive enclosure
• Configurations which have a mixture of both SSDs and HDDs within the same system being used as a capacity Tier
(excluding SSD Read Cache), will require the Advanced Data Service Suite LTU. This rule applies to the system level and
therefore the license is required regardless of whether the drives are configured for auto-tiering within the same Pool.
• All SSD configurations and SSD Read Cache extension do not require a license on the MSA2060 array.
