Overview
The MSA 1040 arrays come integrated with web browser and CLI based software for storage and RAID
management, setup, configuration, and troubleshooting. This reduces the cost of ownership by reducing the training
and technical expertise necessary to install
and maintain your HPE storage solution.
The SPOCK database provides interoperability information for thousands of components and millions of component
combinations. It is available to all users at: http://www.hpe.com/storage/spock.

Supports most multi-vendor industry standard servers. Hewlett Packard Enterprise requires the Third-Party
Server to be logo'd and listed on the Microsoft Windows Server Catalog.

Hewlett Packard Enterprise recommends that the Third-Party Server Vendor is an active member of

Non-Hewlett Packard Enterprise servers will generally be supported if the HPE storage stack is used. This
includes supported Hewlett Packard Enterprise branded HBAs and drivers, and supported FC switches.

The MSA 1040 supports target based management, and includes a Web interface and a telnet interface, and
require a web browser for management.
Beginning with GL200 or newer firmware, MSA 1040 customers have the option to use one of two WBI´s.
Users taking advantage of virtualization features will be required to use SMU V3.
The MSA 1040 requires Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, and Google Chrome.

Provides detailed information on the VMs provisioned through MSA Storage
Effortless installation and configuration using Powershell
