4 HPTechnologyServicesaregovernedbytheapplicableHPtermsandconditionsofserviceprovidedorindicatedtoCustomeratthetimeofpurchase.
Service eligibility
TheCustomermustmeetthefollowinghardwareandsoftwareprerequisitespriorto
beginningonsitedeliveryofthisservice.Prerequisitesinclude,butarenotlimitedto:
•TheCustomermustprovideasuitablephysicaloperatingenvironmentforthearray
product,includingimplementationofanypower,cooling,andotherenvironmental
requirements.
•TheCustomer’sexistingcomputeroperatingsystemplatform(s)mustbesupportedbyand
becompatiblewiththeHPMSA2040,1040orP2000hardwarebeinginstalled.
•TheCustomer’sexistingSANand/ornetworkenvironmentmustbefullyoperationalandin
asupportedcongurationasdenedintheHPSANDesignGuide.
•Wheregeographicallyseparatedhostsarebeingcongured,theCustomermustensure
priornetworkconnectivitybetweentheHPMSA/P2000targetandiSCSIhosts.
•TheCustomerisresponsibleforprovidingserversthatmeettheminimumrequirementsof
HPremotesupporttools.
Customer responsibilities
TheCustomerwill:
•ContactanHPservicespecialistwithin90daysofdateofpurchasetoschedulethedelivery
oftheservice
•Coordinateservicedeploymentonthird-party-maintainedproducts(ifapplicable)withHP
•AssignadesignatedpersonfromtheCustomer’sstawho,onbehalfoftheCustomer,
willgrantallapprovals,provideinformation,andotherwisebeavailabletoassistHPin
facilitatingthedeliveryofthisservice
•Ensurethatallsitepreparation,powersupplycompatibilityrequirements,networkcabling,
andotherspeciedserviceprerequisites,aslistedinthe‘Serviceeligibility’section,have
beenmet
•EnsurethatIPaddressesandnetworkconnectivityareavailablefortheHPMSA
2040/1040/P2000array,andthatconnectivityisestablishedbetweentargethostsandthe
HPMSAproduct
•Provideremoteaccesstohostsnotlocaltothestoragearray
•Scheduledowntimeandprovideaccesstotheservicespecialistduringdeliveryofthe
serviceforhostsrequiringinstallationofanHBA
•Installanyrecommendedhost-orSAN-basedsoftwareupgrades,patches,anddevice
drivers
•Installanyhostsorsoftwarebeyondthelimiteddeliverablesprovidedbytheservice
•ProvideHPwithfullaccesstoalllocationswheretheserviceistobedelivered
•Beresponsibleforalldatabackupandrestoreoperations
•Provideasuitableworkareafordeliveryoftheservice,includingaccesstoanoutside
telephoneline,power,andanynetworkconnectionsrequired
•ProvideITadministrationresources(server,storage,network,andapplication)togather
necessaryinformation,facilitateworkshopsandinterviewsasrequired,andperformany
congurationactivitiesneededtofacilitatedeliveryoftheservice
•Ensurethatthehost,network,storagecomponents,infrastructuremanagementsoftware,
andapplicationsoftwarewithwhichtheHPMSA/P2000productmayinteractareinstalled,
congured,andoperatingnormally
•Ensurethatallhardwareandsoftwarethattheservicespecialistwillneedinorderto
deliverthisserviceareavailableand,forsoftwareproducts,properlylicensed
•Ensurethattherequiredmanagementserversmeettheminimumhardware,OS,and
softwarerequirementsforusewiththeHPMSAproduct
•Ensuretheavailability,atalltimesduringservicedelivery,ofoneormoreindividualswho
willprovideadministrator-levelaccesstothesystemswheretheworkistobeperformed
•Provideallnecessarynetworkandadministrationassistancetoenableconnectivitytothe
HPMSA2040/1040/P2000producttoallowHPremotemonitoringandsupporttoolsto
communicatewiththeHPSupportCenter
