17 Performance Estimator
Introduction
Use the Performance Estimator screen to determine the optimal performance of your arrays based on
the loads that you specify by configuring the RAID g roups. Subsystem configuration parameters can
be rapidly entered, and the results are accurate to within 20%. Performance Estimator focuses on RAID
groups, rather than on LDEVs or LUNs.
NOTE:
Performance Estimator does not support the XP10000/XP12000/SVS200/XP24000/XP2 000 0 a rray.
CAUTION:
The numbers displayed are only an estimate. Results shown are based on readings taken in a controlled
environment. H P cannot guarantee the results in your data center.
Once data coll
ection is done for a n array, the fields in the Performance Estimator screen are populated,
as shown in Performance Estimator XP 128/1024 and Performance Estimator XP 256/512/48.
