Configuring a Policy
1 In the Organizer panel, click Policies to expand the Policies area, if not
already expanded.
2 Do one of the following:
Click in the blank area of the Policies area and select Config > Insert
> Policy.
Right-click in the blank area of the Policies area and select Insert >
Policy.
The Create Policy wizard appears.
3 Type a name for the policy.
4 Select a switch model or select any to make the policy applicable to any
model switch.
The following policy feature areas can be configured only if you select a
specific switch model: ACLs, VLANs and Spanning Tree Properties,
Mobility Profiles, and Location Policy.
5 Select the MSS version or select any.
6 Click Next. The Policy Data Setup page appears.
7 Select the feature areas you want to set in the policy.
When you apply the policy to a switch, all parameter settings from all the
feature areas you select are applied to the switch. This includes any
settings you leave at their default settings in the policy.
8 For each feature area you select, click the button to display the
configuration wizard for that feature area’s settings.
