Configuring a Service Profile 239
9 Select the fallthru authentication method from the Fall Through Auth list
box. The WX switch uses the fallthru method to try to authenticate a
client if the client name or MAC address does not match the userglob or
MAC address glob in an 802.1X or MAC authentication rule for the SSID.
You can select one of the following:
Last Resort — Automatically authenticates the client and allows
access to the SSID requested by the client, without requiring a
username and password from the client.
Web Portal — Serves the client a web page from the WX switch’s
nonvolatile storage for login to the SSID.
None — Denies authentication and prohibits the client from accessing
the SSID.
Web Portal requires the HTTPS server on the WX switch to be enabled.
(The HTTPS server is enabled by default.)
The fallthru authentication method applies only if the WX switch does
not have an 802.1X or MAC authentication rule that matches the SSID
name and the client’s username or MAC address.
10 If the fallthru authentication method is Web Portal, specify the file
location in the WX switch’s nonvolatile memory of a customized web
page to serve the client for login, in the Web Portal page box.
11 Include the subdirectory name. For example, if you created a subdirectory
called mycorp in the user files area of the WX switch’s nonvolatile
storage, and copied files for login page mycorp-login.htm into this
subdirectory, type the following in the Web Portal page box:
mycorp/mycorp-login.htm
By default, the Web Portal page box is blank, in which case the WX
switch serves its default Web login page, the 3Com Webaaa login page,
to Web Portal clients.
