2. Using Cluster Administrator:
a. Move all cluster resources owned by the current node to another node in the cluster.
b. Pause the current cluster node.
c. Disable failback for all groups containing resources managed by the current node.
3. Using Cluster Administrator, resume the current cluster node.
NOTE:
Repeat steps 2–3 for all nodes in the cluster.
4. Migrate to HP MPIO XP DSM on current node by following steps 2–7 from the procedure provided
for Migrating from Secure Path to HP MPIO XP DSM on a stand-alone system.
5. Using Cluster Administrator:
a. Restore failback for all groups containing resources, as needed.
b. Redistribute cluster resources as desired.
NOTE:
When the migration is complete, you can, if desired, remove the Secure Path Manager and
Secure Path server from all the nodes in the cluster.
Migrating from Secure Path to HP MPIO XP DSM on systems that boot from SAN
To migrate from Secure Path to HP MPIO XP DSM on systems that boot from SAN connected devices,
complete the following steps:
1. If you are running Autopath, remove it.
NOTE:
Maintain the connection to the boot device.
2. Reboot the system.
3. Follow steps 2–7 from the procedure provided for Migrating from Secure Path to HP MPIO XP
DSM on a stand-alone system.
Migrating from HP MPIO Basic Failover to HP MPIO XP DSM
To migrate from HP MPIO basic failover for XP arrays to HP MPIO XP DSM, complete the following
steps:
1. Remove HP MPIO basic failover for XP arrays from the system.
2. Reboot the system.
3. Follow steps 2–7 from the procedure provided for Migrating from Secure Path to HP MPIO XP
DSM on a stand-alone system.
