1 Description This document summarizes the recent product information about HP MPIO Full Featured Device Specific Module (DSM) for P6x00 family of Disk Arrays (called the “HP MPIO EVA DSM” throughout this guide), which includes: • “Intended audience” • “Accessing future product updates” • “Other documentation” Intended audience This document is intended for customers who use the HP MPIO EVA DSM software.
2 Operating system requirements HP MPIO EVA DSM supports the following operating systems: • Windows Server 2008 with Service Pack 2 (x64 and x86) • Windows Server 2008 Server Core with Service Pack 2 (x64 and x86) • Windows Server 2008 R2 (x64) • Windows Server 2008 Server Core R2 (x64) • Windows Server 2012 (x64) • Windows Server 2012 R2 (x64) 5
3 Supported storage systems 1. 2. 6 The HP MPIO EVA DSM supports the following disk arrays: • EVA4400 • EVA6400 • EVA8400 • P6300 • P6500 The HP MPIO EVA DSM supports MPX200 iSCSI Router.

5 Fixes WMI calls that gather path performance on Windows Server 2012 and Windows Server 2012 R2, can cause bug check system service exception. This issue is fixed in this version.
6 Prerequisite drivers HP StorageWorks RAID storage systems are generally installed with a Solution Software kit, such as the Fibre Channel Installation kit. These kits install or update certain drivers necessary for using HP StorageWorks products with Windows. 9 Known issues and limitations 12 • The path performance statistics can not be displayed correctly for systems running on Windows Server 2012 and Windows Server 2012 R2. • The selective presentation of devices on specific paths is not supported. The devices must either be presented over all the paths, or the devices must not have any common paths. • All the Host Bus Adapters on a host must be of the same type.
