Solution

To resolve the problem:

1. Restart the vCenter Server first, and then restart the VCE.

2. Click Refresh to view information about the created port group. If you can see the port group

information, the configuration is restored.

3. If the problem persists, contact HP Support.

Failure to display VDP information for a port group

Symptom

After VDP configuration for a port group, VSI type can be displayed for the port group. Then, click the VSI

type name, and no VDP information is displayed.

Solution

To resolve the problem:

1. If the VSI type has been deleted from the IMC server:

a. Configure the VSI type again on the IMC server.

b. Configure VDP information for the port group on the 5900v configuration page, and save the

configuration.

Or, if the IP address of the IMC server has been changed:

a. Enter the VCE global configuration page.

b. Remove the IMC server configuration, and add correct IMC server login information.

c. Configure VDP information for the port group on the 5900v configuration page, and save the

configuration.

2. If the problem persists, contact HP Support.

Failure to automatically refresh the number of port

groups on the VDS page

Symptom

1. Create a VDS.

2. Create two port groups on the VDS.

3. Return to the VDS page, and the number of port groups cannot be automatically refreshed.
