Release Notes
Issues and workarounds 7
• If a Virtual Connect 8Gb 24-Port FC Module and a Brocade 8 Gb SAN Switch for HP BladeSystem
c-Class are in the same enclosure, collecting a VC supportdump may cause the Brocade 8 Gb SAN
Switch for HP BladeSystem c-Class to panic.
• Server ports changed from factory MAC addresses to VC MAC addresses with a pass-through module.
• The following Cisco cables QSFP-H40G-ACU7M and QSFP-4SFP10G-CU5M show up as
Unrecognized instead of Linked (non-HP) for all connections except for when the splitter end is attached
to the FlexFabric 20/40 module, in which case it should show Not Linked.
• Addressed CVE-2013-2566.
• LLDP ChassisId TLV is not the VC module MAC Address. New VCM CLI command 'set lldp
enhancedTlv=false' allows ChassisId TLV to be the MAC Address of the VC module.
• Maximum characters allowed in LDAP Group Description when using CLI is now set to 20 characters,
the same limitation as the GUI.
• After a VC firmware update or VC module reboot, some downlink ports could intermittently show DCC
as unavailable.
• Mismatch between sysName in SNMP and system name TLV in LLDP.
• When using VCSU manual activation on HP VC FlexFabric 10Gb/24-port Modules during a firmware
update, hosts will not be able to log in through the FC uplinks after the standby module is
activated/rebooted until a VCM failover is initiated or if the primary module is activated/rebooted.
Issues and workarounds
Issue
The text size of the Set/Clear SSH Key buttons are not displayed properly under SSH Key Administration in
Internet Explorer 11.
Workaround
Set a readable text size in Internet Explorer. Click on View→Text size→Smaller.
Issue
The “show config” command generates a network map configuration using a list of server VLAN IDs from the
“server-port-map-range” command. The “show config” output displays “Network not found” for multiple
networks where the server VLAN ID is different from the SUS VLAN ID.
Workaround
Identify the specific “server-port-map-range” command in the “show config” output, and then replace it
with the “server-port-map” command and appropriate network name and VLAN ID.
Issue
When users with Network Role privileges finish the Network Setup Wizard, the final page displays a ”Start
Fibre Channel Setup Wizard” checkbox. After clicking the Finish button to proceed, VCM returns a NULL
error.
Workaround
In the top banner of the GUI, click the 'Home' link to exit the wizard and return to the home screen.
