HP Tru64 UNIX Release Notes for Version 5.1B-4 (13157)

DataDirect SequeLink Version 5.4 is available from the Tru64 UNIX Products Web site. This
highly scalable, server-based middleware gives you a complete platform for data connectivity.
OpenLDAP Directory Server
The OpenLDAP Directory Server included with this release has been updated to Version 2.3.24.
The Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) is an Internet standard directory service
protocol that runs over TCP/IP. LDAP provides access to directories that support the X.500 model.
It provides either a standalone directory service or lightweight access to an X.500 directory,
unlike DAP, which incurs a heavier resource footprint.
LDAP Client Utilities
The LDAP client utilities have been updated to Version 2.3.24 for this release. The LDAP utilities
are a series of command-line utilities you can use to aid in the administration of the LDAP
Authentication Module. All of these tools use the configuration specified in /etc/ldapcd.conf
for connecting to the directory server. When installed via the LDPUTILS kit, the executable is
located in /usr/sbin/ldap.
Fortran Run-Time Libraries
The HP Fortran run-time support libraries have been updated to Version 5.6. These libraries
enable you to run previously compiled programs that require these libraries. The libraries support
Fortran program function areas, including input and output, intrinsic functions, data formatting,
data conversion, miscellaneous math functions, and Fortran bindings to common operating
system services.
APCD Volume 2
The following products on the APCD Volume 2 have been updated.
Extended System V Functionality
Extended System V Functionality has been updated with this release. The System V functionality
in the operating system has been extended in some existing commands and library functions to
include System V formatted output and support for System V options.
EMC NetWorker
EMC NetWorker has been updated to 7.3.2. The version of EMC NetWorker included with this
kit supports single systems and systems running HP TruCluster Server Version 5.1B. It also
includes a trial version of the EMC NetWorker product. For more information:

Perl
Perl has been updated to Version 5.8.7 with this release. Changes include fixes for problems
reported on previous versions and a correction that addresses a security vulnerability on integer
overflow in the format string function.

Xemacs has been updated to Version 21.4.17 with this release.
