9.0 Software Installation
CAUTION
If you are operating with any Compaq Tru64 UNIX versions prior to
V5.0, it is important to install HSOF software V5.7 on your controllers
before upgrading to Compaq Tru64 UNIX versions 5.0 or higher.
This section provides the specific procedures needed to install your HSOF
V5.7 Software. The information in this section can be used in conjunction with
the information found in the HSZ50 Array Controller HSOF V5.1 Service
Manual, Chapter 3 “Installing and Upgrading “, pages 3-3 through 3-21.
Prior to installing HSOF V5.7 Software, please note the following:
CAUTION
If JBOD disks that were initialized using the
SAVE_CONFIGURATION switch on a HSZ40 controller running
HSOF Version 2.7 have been moved onto your HSZ50
controller, please contact your service representative before
upgrading your HSZ50 controller to HSOF Version 5.7
software.
