Pen holder and eject assembly

Pen holder and eject assembly 592972-001
Before removing the pen holder and eject assembly, follow these steps:
1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn
the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3. Disconnect the power cord.
4. Remove the battery (see
Battery on page 39).
5. Remove the following components:
a. Hard drive (see
Hard drive on page 41).
b. Memory cover (see
Memory module on page 47).
c. Top cover (see
Top cover on page 55).
Remove the pen holder and eject assembly:
1. Remove the three Phillips PM2.0×4.0 screws (1) that secure the pen holder and eject assembly
to the base enclosure.
2. Remove the pen holder (2) and eject assembly (3) from the base enclosure.
Reverse this procedure to install the pen holder and eject assembly.
