8. Restore power to the Server and verify the status panel assembly is working properly.

Removing the Flexible Disk Drive
1. If the Server is operating, power down the Server, and if necessary, backup mass storage devices.
Refer to Chapter 2, “Controls, Ports, and Indicators” for instructions.
2. Disconnect the power cord and any external cables connected to the Server.
If necessary, label each one to expedite re-assembly.
3. Remove the left side cover.
4. Remove the upper bezel.
5. At the rear of the flexible disk drive (FDD), carefully disconnect the power and data cables.
6. Remove the flexible disk drive by:
a. Pressing in on both release tabs to release the FDD assembly.
b. Pull the FDD assembly out of the chassis.
c. Remove the two screws from the left side of the FDD assembly.
