Symptom Cause/Solution
The SAN Manager DM
user interface does not
appear when started from
the Windows Start menu.
SAN Manager DM services are not running. Verify that the
HP SAN
Manager Server
service and
sanmgrdmSOLID
service are running.
1. Click the Start button, select Settings, then select Control Panel
to open the Control Panel window.
2. Double-click Services to open the Services window.
3. Verify that
HP SAN Manager Server
and
sanmgrdmSOLID
are
started. If necessary, select the service, then click the Start
button.
SAN Manager DM’s RMI registry port already in use. SAN Manager
DM is assigned RMI registry port 2715. The SOLID database is
assigned TCP port 2600. Determine if another application or service is
using one of the preassigned RMI registry ports.
The .PDF file format is not associated with Adobe Acrobat. SAN
Manager DM’s documentation set is delivered on the CD-ROM in .pdf
format. Not having the .pdf file format associated with Adobe Acrobat
may cause SAN Manager not to start. Verify that the .pdf file format is
associated with Adobe Acrobat.
