Symptom Cause/Solution
Deployment of the Host
Agent failed to one or
more SAN data hosts.
Incorrect data in Host Deployment window. Verify that you entered
the correct data in the Hostname, Logon Name, OS Type, and NT
Domain fields. Also, verify that you entered the correct password for
the host in the command window.
Current NT logon name is more than 14 characters. When
deploying to HP-UX and Solaris SAN data hosts, the NT logon name
must be 14 characters or less. Logon to the NT host with a logon name
that is 14 character or less and has administrators privilege.
SAN Manager DM is already installed on host. You cannot deploy
the Host Agent component to a host on which SAN Manager DM is
installed (the management station).
The host or network to which you are deploying is down. Verify
that the host and network to which you were attempting deployment is
up and functional. If necessary, reattempt deployment.
Deployment timed out due to network congestion. Deployment is
terminated if not successful within 10 minutes. Increase the
deployment timeout setting to allow for network congestion.
1. On the management station, go to the \hpsanmgr\dialdist\config
directory.
2. Open the deploy.conf file in a simple text editor.
3. Increase the DEPLOY_OVERIDE_TIME value, then save the file.
This setting is in milliseconds.
4. Reattempt deployment.
CPU Utilization is too high on host to allow deployment. Close
applications, services, or processes running on the host.
