If Device Does Not Write to Device Log

Symptom Cause/Solution
Managed devices do not write
entries to the device log.
The device is not reporting any errors or status changes.
The FC Manager trap daemon is not running.
– If FC Manager is not integrated with OpenView NNM, verify
that the trap daemon (fcman-td) is running.
– If FC Manager is integrated with OpenView NNM, verify
that the trap daemon (fcman-ov) is running.
