If You Cannot View FC Manager 3.0
from a Management Workstation

Symptom Cause/Solution
FC Manager does not open from
the management workstation.
An incorrect URL is entered in the web browser. Verify that
the URL assigned to FC Manager during installation is
entered correctly. (If port 80 is used for FC Manager and the
web server, do not include the port number in the URL.)
Netscape FastTrack is not installed on the management
server. Verify that Netscape FastTrak is installed on the
management server.
The browser reports that a
connection with the server could
not be established.
The web server was not installed or configured correctly.
Contact HP FastTrack technical support.
Stop the servlets and then restart them by going to the
/opt/hpstmgmt/sbin directory.
The browser displays
permission denied message.
FC Manager’s status bar
displays “FCManager v3.0
HTTP Error code 1.”
The user name or port number for FC Manager and the
web server are different. Determine which variable (user
name or port number) is different, then change the variable in
either the FC Manager 3.0 installation utility or web server
configuration so the variables are identical.
The browser begins to display
background images of
FC Manager but does not
complete loading of the Login
page.
Netscape Navigator does not have Java enabled.
Enable Java.
Refer to the browser’s documentation or online help to enable
Java.
