212 Monitoring and maintaining FSE
The FSE error log
The FSE error log stores information on all major errors occurring during FSE operation, such as failed
initialization of an FSE medium, erroneous FSE drive operation, FSE migration job failure, and so on. These
errors often require the intervention of the FSE administrator.
FSE error log is named error.log.
Linux specific
On Linux platform, the FSE error log is located in the directory /var/opt/fse/log.
Windows specific
On Windows platform, the FSE error log is located in the directory %InstallPath%\var\log.
The value of %InstallPath% depends on the choice made in the FSE installation process. It defaults to
C:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard\FSE.
