NOTE: The Show Element Type drop-down menu is not available if you accessed Event
Manager by double-clicking an element in Capacity Manager, Performance Manager or System
Manager and then clicking the Events tab.
*May display the product name instead of “management server.”
Customizing the Element Type Filter for Events
You can customize the element type for your filter by clicking the Customize button next to the
Show Element Type drop-down menu in Event Manager.
For example, you can specify you want Critical and Major events displayed in Event Manager.
NOTE: The Show Element Type drop-down menu is not available if you accessed Event
Manager by double-clicking an element in Capacity Manager, Performance Manager or System
Manager and then clicking the Events tab.
To select more than one severity level for filtering:
1. Click the Custom button next to the Show Element Type drop-down menu in Event Manager.
2. In the Event Filters window, select the element types from which you want obtain event messages.
3. Click OK.
4. When you are asked if you want to apply your changes, click Yes.

Applications Lists only events from applications, such as
Microsoft Exchange and Oracle.
Host Lists only events from hosts.
Switch Lists only events from switches.
Storage System Lists only events from storage systems.
Fabric Lists only events from fabrics.
Other Lists only events from elements that do not fit
in the previous categories.
Management Server* Lists only events from the management
server.
All Lists all events.
Tape Library Lists only events from tape libraries.
