Preface: About This Document

This document describes how to install the AH303A Host Bus Adapter on HP-UX 11i v2, 11i v3,

and OpenVMS platforms. The latest version of this document is online at:

Intended Audience

This document is for system and network administrators responsible for installing, configuring,

and managing data storage systems. Administrators are expected to have knowledge of HP-UX

or OpenVMS operating system concepts, commands, and configuration.

This document is not a tutorial.

What’s in This Document

This Support Guide is divided into several chapters containing information about product

features, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.

Chapter 1 “HP-UX Installation” lists the steps to install the AH303A Host Bus Adapter on

systems running HP-UX 11i v2 and 11i v3.

Chapter 2 “OpenVMS Installation” lists the steps to install the AH303A Host Bus Adapter on

systems running OpenVMS V8.3-1H1.

Appendix A “Electrostatic Discharge” provides information about preventing damage to your

system due to electrostatic discharge.
