recommendations for a custom-designed solution. The solution is integrated and “out-of-the-box”
ready when it arrives at the customer site. This service includes:
• consulting service to custom-design the detailed server configuration to meet customer needs
• final validation of the quote and order
• all of the integration services provided by the Smartset service, as described below
• onsite post-installation consulting to connect to the network, transfer knowledge, and ensure
customer satisfaction
Since many customers don’t want or need a partitioned server at initial shipment, this service
allows the customer to implement a partitioned server environment in the field at some point after
delivery and setup. It includes:
• hardware and software environment assessment for partition readiness by HP specialist at the
customer site
• customer requirements gathering and optimal partition design
• installation and configuration of partitions and iCOD, if needed
• documentation and training
