Checking the Link Between the Storage Hub 12 and
the Fibre Channel Tape Controller

Is the FC-AL functioning
normally?
Connect a cable to the Fibre Channel
Tape Controller.
Remove the GBIC from the other end
of the cable.

Run the Fault Isolation Utility to test the
integrity of the link. Replace the GBIC or
the cable and run the Fault Isolation
Utility to see if the problem still exists.
Perform a visual and physical inspection
of the FC-AL. Use the flow chart on
page 5-9.
