After a period of use, the performance of your HP Designjet printer may be affected by
ink deposits on the printer components. The User maintenance kit is provided so that you can
occasionally clean or lubricate these components. The kit contains:
Platen cleaning kit Use if you notice ink smears on the back of the
media. See page 13.
HP recommends that you
also clean the paper-advance sensor window
whenever you clean the print platen and if you
are experiencing print quality issues.
