The HP Compaq nw8240 Mobile Workstation delivers
outstanding graphics and processing performance in a
widescreen, light weight design. Enhanced security
and connectivity features combine with all day battery
life (with optional travel battery) to make the HP
nw8240 a powerful, portable workstation which is
ideally suited for mobile business and on the road use.

The HP nw8240 combines a stunning 15.4-inch wide
screen with the latest Intel® Pentium® M processor,
enhanced discrete graphics performance with ATI
Mobility FireGL V5000 and Intel® Centrino™ mobile
technology for wireless connectivity and improved
battery life.
Portable workstation
Weighing only 2.8 kg and just 28.0 mm thin, the HP
nw8240 offers powerful computing in a travel-friendly
design.
Enhanced security
The HP nw8240 incorporates HP ProtectTools
enhanced security features, such as integrated Smart
Card Reader, optional TPM embedded security chip
and multifactor authentication to protect your device,
data and network connection.
All day mobile productivity
The HP nw8240 comes with a primary battery
providing up to 4 hours of productivity, which can be
doubled with the uniquely designed HP Travel Battery
(optional) for all day mobile power. The innovative
ambient light sensor automatically adjusts the display
brightness, extending usage by up to 20%.
Scalable desktop solution
A choice of optional docking stations, which can be
shared with other models, convert the HP nw8240 into
a scalable desktop solution with additional port
connections. Effortless ‘one touch’ docking allows
quick and easy desktop functionality – even with travel
battery attached. The vertical monitor stand (optional)
improves ergonomics and eliminates the need for a
secondary monitor.
