network config tools
use network menu options
The HP PSC front panel provides access to Network menu options through the
Setup Menu. This section contains the following topics:
• print a network configuration page on page 76
• enable or disable the wireless radio on page 82
• restore wireless defaults on page 83
• change the link speed on page 84
print a network configuration page
1 Access the Network menu. (See access the network menu.)
2 Press 1 to select Print Network Configuration Page from the Network menu.
3 Press OK.
The HP PSC prints the network configuration page.
Note: All of the settings on the configuration page should match the settings
of the network with which you are trying to associate. If any values are
different, you might not be able to connect to the network.
The following sections describe the various fields on the network configuration
page.

Status Status of the HP PSC:
• Initializing: the network is initializing.
•Ready: the device is ready to receive or transmit data.
• Cover Open: the device’s cover is open and the device is offline.
•Paper Jam: the device’s paper path is not clear and the device is
offline.
•Paper Out: the device is out of paper and it is offline.
•Offline: the device is offline.
Network Connection
Type
Network mode of the HP PSC:
•Wired: the HP PSC is connected by Ethernet cable to an IEEE
802.3 network.
•Wireless: the HP PSC is connected wirelessly to an IEEE 802.11b
network.
•Disabled: Both network connection types are disabled.
Note: Only one connection type can be active at a time.
URL The Web address of the embedded Web server (EWS). The URL is
displayed in the following format: http://<ip address>.
Note: You will need to know this URL when you try to access the
EWS.
