Note: The installer defaults to Key 1 as the transmission key. If you are using
more than one WEP key on your network, enter the key you identified as the
transmission key in the HP PSC embedded Web server (EWS) prior to
installation. See enter multiple WEP keys on page 166.
10 At the next screen (confirm printer settings), verify the wireless printer
settings and then click Next.
Setup verifies the HP PSC’s wireless settings based on the internal
networking component’s configuration.

The Verifying Printer Settings screen appears as Setup turns the wireless
radio on and verifies that the HP PSC can communicate with the network
using the new wireless settings.
When Setup is able to communicate with the HP PSC, the Unplug the
network cable screen appears.
Wireless Encryption - WEP
Enter the network’s WEP encryption keys
The selected wireless network uses WEP encryption. All wireless devices on the network
must have the same WEP key.
Enter the WEP key used on the network.

Setup is verfying the wireless settings on the printer.
Verifying Printer Settings
Setup is trying to communicate with the printer using the new wireless settings.
This will take several minutes.
