Installing a PPM
IMPORTANT: A new PPM must always be installed with a new processor.
To install a PPM:
1. Locate the second PPM slot and position the PPM above the slot. The
PPM is keyed to fit one way only in the slot.
2. Press evenly on the PPM to insert it into the slot until latches snap up
to secure the module
.

Memory
You can expand server memory by installing Compaq Synchronous DRAM
(SDRAM) DIMMs. The system supports up to six 133-MHz ECC registered
SDRAM DIMMs installed in slots on the system board.
ProLiant ML370 Generation 2 servers support the Compaq
Advanced Memory Protection feature through online spare memory support.
When you power up and configure the server for the first time, use RBSU to
enable online spare memory support. For additional information about using
RBSU option menus, see Chapter 9, “Server Configuration and Utilities.”
CAUTION: Use only Compaq DIMMs. DIMMs from other sources are known to
adversely affect data integrity.
