Connecting to a Remote Server
Use one of the following methods to select the remote server to which you
want to connect:
Type the name of the server in the combo box and press the Enter key.
Select one of the ten most recently connected servers from the
drop-down list.
Click the Browse button to bring up a server selection dialog box.
Replacing an Expansion Board
To replace an expansion board:
1. In the PCI Hot Plug Utility, turn off the power to the required slot by
selecting it and clicking the power button.
2. Remove the existing expansion board:
a. Disconnect cables, if necessary.
b. Open the slot release lever.
c. Remove the expansion board.
3. Install the new expansion board:
a. Insert the new expansion board in the slot.
b. Attach the appropriate cables.
c. Close the expansion slot lever.
4. In the PCI Hot Plug Utility, turn the power on to the slot by selecting it
and clicking the power button.
Compaq PCI Hot Plug Utility Messages
Compaq PCI Hot Plug Utility uses the following messages to indicate status of
the PCI Hot Plug system:
The requested machine is not running the Compaq Remote Control service.
You cannot connect to the specified server because it is not running the
Compaq Remote Control service.
You don't have an account on the requested machine. You cannot connect to
the specified server because you do not have an account on it.
This machine does not have any PCI Hot Plug slots. The server is running the
service, but there are no PCI Hot Plug slots to view.
