Internal Tape Drives
Compaq ProLiant ML370 Generation 2 servers provide support for up to two
internal tape drives including DAT, DLT, or the Compaq Universal Hot-Plug
Tape Drive. Internal devices installed in the removable media cage are cabled
directly to SCSI connector A on the system board with a three-device
terminated cable. The following illustration shows standard cable routing from
the removable media cage to the system board with the CD-ROM drive
installed.

Cabling with the Smart Array 5i Controller
The Compaq Smart Array 5i Controller is a 32-bit Ultra3 SCSI array controller
featuring advanced RAID technology. The two Smart Array 5i connectors
support single-channel or dual-channel drive configurations. An auxiliary
VHDCI SCSI cable is provided in the option kit for connecting additional
storage devices through an auxiliary SCSI connector on the rear panel of the
server.
