ROM-Based Diagnostic Utility
When you select Diagnostic Utility in the System Maintenance Menu, the system
executes the ROM-Based Diagnostic Utility as shown in Figure 8-10.

The Diagnostic Utility supplies a preboot method for quickly checking the validity of
the three major subsystems of the server needed to boot an operating system. The
three tests are:
Memory Diagnostic—Tests of all the memory in the system.
CPU Diagnostic—Tests all of the processors in the system.
Boot Disk Diagnostic—Tests the boot drive for readiness to boot.
