Microsoft NAP

As mentioned earlier, the ProCurve Access Control Solution 2.1 integrates

with the Network Access Protection (NAP) platform architecture, which is

included with Windows Server 2008. The client component—the NAP agent—

is included in Windows Vista and Windows XP Service Pack 3 (SP3).

This section provides a brief overview of the NAP components and then helps

you understand the issues you should consider when selecting an endpoint

integrity solution.

NAP Components

Figure A-3 shows the basic components of NAP architecture. Components

that are marked with a Windows logo must be run on top of Windows

Server 2008.
