Implementation
The ProCurve Access Control Implementation Guide provides detailed infor-
mation on how to create a network access control solution that meets the
needs of a particular environment. The implementation guide includes config-
uration procedures for the components of typical access control solutions:
■ ProCurve Switches (running configurations)
■ ProCurve Access Points (APs)
■ ProCurve Network Access Controller (NAC) 800
■ ProCurve Wireless Edge Services Modules
■ ProCurve Secure Router 7000dl
■ Microsoft Windows services:
• Active Directory
• Dynamic Name Systems (DNS) services
• Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) services
• Certificate Authority (CA) services
■ Endpoints:
• Windows Wireless Zero Configuration (WZC)
• Windows 802.1X supplicant
• ProCurve VPN Client
The implementation guide provides step-by-step instructions for setting up
five access control solutions. Table 4-1 lists the different elements for each
solution. For example, solution 1 uses 802.1X as the access control method
and the endpoint integrity deployment method. You can use this table to find
the solution that most closely matches your own. Look up that solution in the
implementation guide for step-by-step instructions in setting up your access
controls. If your solution calls for some options from one solution and others
from another, simply refer to the appropriate sections in both.
