Front View Components
Front view component descriptions
Item Component Description

Infrared port Provides wireless communication
between the notebook and an optional
IrDA-compliant device.

Mute button On: Mutes the system volume. A light
comes on when the button is pushed in
and the sound is muted.

Volume control buttons Increase and decrease system volume.
Press the volume up button to increase
sound. Press the volume down button
to decrease sound.

Display release latch Opens the notebook.
