If this modem is to be used with a PBX which has extension wiring owned by BT, connection of the modem to the PBX can only be carried out by BT; or, by the authorised maintainer of the PNX unless the authorised maintainer has been given 14 days written notice that the connection is to be made by another person, and that period of notice has expired. This modem is suitable for use only on telephone lines provided with Loop-Disconnect or Multi-Frequency Dialing facilities.
The number you enter to dial may optionally contain a PAUSE character (a comma) to allow this modem to operate with a PABX. Each comma gives a two-second delay.
