CLUSTER ENVIRONMENT
This layered product is fully supported when installed
on any valid and licensed node within the VMScluster
configuration without restrictions. The HARDWARE RE-
QUIREMENTS sections of this product’s Software Prod-
uct Description and System Support Addendum detail
any special hardware required by this product.
HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS
Save Set Manager is a layered software product on the
OpenVMS operating system for the VAX, Alpha Server
and Integrity Server platforms. The list of supported
processors and hardware configurations is the same as
those supported by OpenVMS and mentioned in the fol-
lowing Software Product Descriptions (SPDs):

The list of currently shipping disk and tape devices
changes frequently. Currently supported disk and tape
devices are reflected in the Supported Options Lists that

A minimum system configuration to run Save Set Man-
ager includes:
• Recommended: Same or greater amount of memory
as the system on which the save sets were originally
created
• One or more disk or tape drives qualified by Open-
VMS
Processor Restrictions:
Disk Space Requirements (Block Cluster Size = 1):
On Alpha system:
Disk space required for installation: 8200 blocks
(4100 Kbytes)
Disk space required for use (permanent): 6500 blocks
(3250 Kbytes)
On VAX system:
Disk space required for installation: 7500 blocks
(3750 Kbytes)
Disk space required for use (permanent): 6350 blocks
(3175 Kbytes)
On I64 system:
Disk space required for installation: 8400 blocks
(4200 Kbytes)
Disk space required for use (permanent): 7200 blocks
(3600 Kbytes)
These counts refer to the disk space required on the
system disk. The sizes are approximate; actual sizes
may vary depending on the user’s system environment,
configuration, and software options.
OPTIONAL DEVICE HARDWARE
Any OpenVMS VAX or OpenVMS Alpha or OpenVMS
I64 supported tape or disk drive also will be supported
by Save Set Manager. For the specific equipment list,
refer to the OpenVMS Operating System Software Prod-
uct Descriptions mentioned above.
