For MRU to operate the library or loader must also be
qualified by the operating system.
For Windows XP systems, MRU software is compati-
ble with libraries and loaders that are connected to the
KZPAA, KZPSA and other PCI based SCSI-2 compliant
adapters using the AIC78xx bus driver.
For Windows 2000 and Windows XP sytems, MRU soft-
ware is compatible with libraries and loaders that are
connected to the KZPBA and other PCI based SCSI-2
compliant adapters using the AIC78xx bus driver.
Unsupported Connections
Connections via the HSCnn, HSD05, HSD10, and
AHA1740 are not qualified.

This software is required to support the robotic media-
handling devices on Tru64 UNIX platforms. Refer to the
SCSI CAM Layered Components for Tru64 UNIX SPD
(SPD 50.68.xx) for details.
MRU software runs on Windows 2000 and Windows XP
operating systems.
DISTRIBUTION MEDIA
The HP Media Robot Utility is available on CD ROM.
The media contains the OpenVMS (VAX, Alpha and
I64), Tru64 UNIX, and Windows 2000/Windows XP ex-
ecutables and documentation.
The HP Media Robot Utility CD ROM also contains the
SCSI CAM Layered Components for Tru64 UNIX sys-
tems, V4.0F and V4.0G and V5.0.
SOFTWARE LICENSING
This software is furnished only under a license. For
more information about HP’s licensing terms and poli-
cies, contact your HP account representative or distrib-
utor. The license for MRU is granted for use on one
specified system.
The MRU media is also provided with the Archive
Backup Software (ABS) kit. If a customer has ABS in-
stalled on a system, then the ABS license allows the
customer the rights to use MRU on that system.
