If the pointing device doesn’t work
• Make sure you don’t have an external mouse connected to the OmniBook.
• If you just disconnected an external mouse, try exiting and restarting Windows to
make the OmniBook pointing device active again.
• Try cleaning the pointing device cap. See “To clean the pointing device.”
If a mouse connected to the serial port doesn’t work properly
• Check the OmniBook serial port assignments.
1. From Program Manager, double-click OmniBook Tools (in the Main group).
2. Click Connections, then click COM Ports. For a serial mouse, the serial port
must be assigned to COM1.
