HP Business Notebook PCs are designed to minimise their impact on the environment by eliminating or reducing
substances of concern, using fewer resources, reducing energy consumption and designing for recyclability. In our
product packaging, we minimise material usage and reduce packaging size/weight to improve transportation fuel
efficiency.

HP Illumi-Lite displays feature mercury-free LED backlighting, reducing the amount of hazardous materials used.
Magnesium cases are highly recyclable.
The 6500 and 6700 models use 100 per cent post-consumer plastic content in speaker modules.

Magnesium enclosures are easier to recycle. Also HP DuraFinish is more recyclable than painted parts.
