838 APPENDIX A: SUPPORTED DEVICES
The SuperStack 3 Switch 4400 SE device is supported by Backup, Restore
and Setup. However, a License Key is required to enable the Backup and
Restore feature in the agent software. Please refer to the user
documentation supplied with your switch for details of how to obtain the
appropriate License Key.
Restrictions Backing Up and Restoring 3Com Devices
1 The Device Restore and Device Setup operations may need to initialize
target devices before applying the selected configuration.
Initializing a device, or applying a configuration that is not consistent with
the surrounding network devices, could result in network loops or other
problems, which may bring down the network to which the device is
attached.
If you are using any of the following features on the device, or they are
part of the configuration being applied, you should disconnect the device
from the network, connect it to this management station either directly
or via a single hub or switch, before attempting the Device Restore or
Setup operation.
