2 Link the two routers together:
a Select the two routers in the map or the tree.
b Select Edit > Add Link to link the two routers together.
3 Set the port details of the link:
a Select the new link.
b Launch the Properties dialog box for that link by selecting Properties
from the right-click menu of the link.
c Select the Ports tab.
d Click the Set button in the From Port frame to launch the Set Port
dialog box.
e In the Set Port dialog box select the appropriate unit and interface
number of the interface on the From device that the point-to-point
connection connects to.
f Close the Set Port dialog box by clicking OK.
g Repeat this process in the To Port frame.
h Close the Properties dialog box by clicking OK.
A cloud will be automatically added to the middle of the link between the
two routers. 3Com Network Director automatically separates WAN links
into two using clouds to allow more detailed monitoring to be performed
on WAN links. See “
Monitoring WAN links” on page 692 for more
details.
Grouping Logically Connected WAN Interfaces Together
If the links to the Default WAN cloud include two or more WAN
interfaces that are logically connected to each other in some manner (for
example, they may all be connected together across the same ISPs
network) then you can represent this logical grouping in the following
manner:
1 Create a representation of the logical group:
a Launch the Add Map Item dialog box by selecting Edit > Add Map
