Examples This section provides some examples of how to use the Bulk
Configuration feature of 3Com Network Director.
Configuring User
Accounts
Following an audit of network security, it has been decided that there is a
need to periodically change the passwords and community strings used
by all of the network specialists. It is decided to have the first changeover
take place outside of work hours to avoid disrupting any routine network
maintenance.
To do this:
1 Ensure that all of the devices on the network are present in the current
map. If necessary run a network discovery. See
Launching a discovery
on page 106
.
2 Launch the Configuration Editor dialog box using the Switch Devices
option from the Device > Configure menu.
3 Select the User Accounts feature in the configuration summary tree and
enable the user accounts table in the feature pane, as shown in
Figure 337
.
