Figure 315 Configuration Editor Dialog box
The feature configuration panels typically display disabled attributes with
the caption no change in the associated value field. When a feature
attribute is enabled the associated value field changes to display the
current value for the attribute, this will be the default value for the
attribute unless it has previously been set to something else.
It is possible to specify an invalid configuration for some features. If this
happens a warning symbol will be displayed next to the feature’s name in
the summary tree. Also a warning dialog box will be displayed to indicate
the problem when an attempt is made to navigate to the feature
configuration panel from another panel, or when an attempt is made to
save the configuration template, or when an attempt is made to apply
the configuration template. Note that it will be possible to continue
editing further features, and to save the configuration template for later
use. However, it will not be possible to apply the configuration template
to a device or port selection until the problem(s) with any features
marked as invalid have been corrected.
Further details of each of the feature configuration panels are provided in
the sections
Device Configuration Panels on page 592 and Port
Configuration Panels on page 606.
