Inconsistent VLAN configuration on link
3Com Network Director identifies the situation where a port at one end
of a link has a different VLAN membership to the port at the other end of
the link. For example, 3Com Network Director will report a
misconfiguration if the port at one end of a link is a tagged member of
VLANs with IDs 1, 2 and 3 but the port at the other end is only a tagged
member of VLANs with IDs 1 and 2.
Inconsistent VLAN naming
It is good practice to use the same VLAN name when configuring a VLAN
on multiple switches. However, if a consistent VLAN name has not been
used, 3Com Network Director will detect this and report a
misconfiguration. For example, in the network below, the VLAN with ID
2, has been created with inconsistent names: Engineering and Eng.
3Com Network Director would report this and indicate which of the
names will be used to refer to the VLAN in the rest of 3Com Network
Director.

Inconsistent VLAN IDs
3Com Network Director identifies the situation where inconsistent VLAN
IDs have been configured on different switches but these IDs refer to the
same VLAN. For example:
