526 CHAPTER 13: VLAN MANAGEMENT
Protocol Details button
The Protocol Details button will be grayed for VLANs configured on Layer
2 switches. For VLANs configured on Layer 3 switches, or Layer 3
modules in a chassis, if a VLAN has Layer 3 details configured, this button
will be enabled and will launch the VLAN Protocol Details dialog box. If a
VLAN has IP interfaces configured, these will be listed in the VLAN
Protocol Details dialog box, one row for each IP interface:

For non-IP protocols only the Protocol column is completed, with the
name of the protocol:
Connected to If there is a link connecting the port to something
else, the name of the device/cloud/submap at the
far end of the link is displayed in this column. If
the port is not connected, the field is left blank.
Tagged This column displays Yes if the port transmits
packets tagged with the 802.1Q VLAN ID on this
VLAN. The column displays No if the port
transmits packets untagged on this VLAN.
