Sort by
The selected Sort by option controls the ordering of the display of the
contents of the Hosts view. There are three main sort options:
Insertion Time: Sorts the hosts shown in the table into the order in
which the device has seen them.
Selected Rate: Sorts the hosts shown in the table in descending order
according to the currently selected rate in the Selected Rate
drop-down menu. The available rates are: Packet Received Rate,
Packet Sent Rate, Bytes Received Rate, Bytes Sent Rate, Error Packet
Rate, Broadcast Packet Rate, Multicast Packet Rate. This option allows
you to view the most active hosts sorted by any of the above rates.
The data is sorted and fetched from the device using the RMON
HostTopN group.
Selected Stations: Filters and sorts the hosts shown in the table to a
specific set and ordering of MAC addresses. When you select this
option the Selected Stations list is enabled, allowing selection of,
addition to and deletion from the displayed list of MAC addresses.
With this option selected and one or more MAC addresses in the
Selected Stations list, the data displayed in RMONView will be limited
to the MAC addresses held in the Selected Stations list.
When using the Selected Rate option, you may see the following error
dialog box:
Packet Packets transmitted to and from each
host seen by the device, including
broadcast and multicast packets
