This utility can be used for various purposes, including converting round
robin databases to XML by using the dump command-line option. This
has the following syntax:
rrdtool dump DatabaseName.rrd > OutputFile.xml
For example, to convert the round robin database
0/1/08-00-4e-0b-d2-84.rrd to XML format and store it in the file
RouterHistory.xml in the 3Com Network Director installation directory,
run the following command from within the 3Com Network Director
installation directory:
bin\rrdtool dump logging\0\1\08-00-4e-0b-d2-84.rrd >
RouterHistory.xml
Each round robin database contains several RRD data sources, each
containing data from a different monitor. The following tables show the
correspondences between monitors and RRD data sources.
